Survivor-Informed Safeguarding: Lessons for Funders

SAFEGUARDING

Acting as a learning partner for a funder, Children Unite, supported the pilot of a Participatory Grant Making programme with survivor-led organisations across Africa and Asia. Children Unite delivered capacity building workshops on safeguarding for a Lived Experience Advisory Panel supporting grant-making and for grantee partners - all of whom are survivor-led organisations. This work deepened understanding of the realities of safeguarding for survivor-groups and strengthened the funders' ability to account for and respond to these realities in their grantmaking.
