A global policy review undertaken by Children Unite alongside consultations with organisations campaigning with survivors informed a new approach to safeguarding we call ‘survivor-informed safeguarding’ adapted to the context of survivors campaigning on the issue of child sexual abuse. This conceptual model outlines guiding principles to ensure safeguarding respects and protects those with lived experience of sexual violence.
